Communities That Care (CTC) Coalition Meeting
June 9 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
CTC is holding an in-person coalition meeting on Thursday, June 9th, from 3:30-5:00 pm at the Greenfield High School Cafeteria. Please register at: https://tinyurl.com/ctcjune2022
At the meeting we will:
- Hear a summary of what was learned from interviews with nearly 30 key staff working on advancing racial justice in almost all of our local public school districts,
- Have a lively discussion about challenging conversations in an age of social justice led by Northeastern University’s champion for social justice Lisa Markland, and
- Present the Sara Cummings Coalition leadership award to the amazing Shaundell Diaz of Community Action Pioneer Valley!
We will wear masks, have snacks (under our masks), offer childcare (thank you Greenfield High School), and provide transportation through Uber/Lyft for those who need it (thank you Brick House and FRTA’s Access program). We’re attempting to arrange for Spanish interpretation (leads and collaborations welcome).
While the meeting is mainly in-person, we’ll have a zoom option for those who can’t be there with us and would like to watch & listen (thank you GCTV), AND we’ll be broadcasting the non-discussion parts of the meeting on GCTV at a later date.
The Brick House (24 3rd St, Turners Falls) will also be holding a follow-up discussion for families on Wednesday, June 15th from 3:30-5:00 with stipends, childcare, transportation, translation, and more. Please contact Stacey email@example.com or 413-800-2496 for more information!
Again, please register for the June 9th CTC meeting (for the in-person and/or zoom options) in advance using this link: https://tinyurl.com/ctcjune2022.
