This special meeting of the MAPHCO Steering Committee will include a full-day retreat to review the purpose and scope of the coalition, current emergency preparedness capabilities of local public health, and other organizations serving similar functions in Franklin County. We will also describe the federal guidelines for Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) and discuss its context as applied to the governance structure of our region. Finally, we will measure the needs of local communities to determine gaps and identify the possible ways to address them in a year-long strategic plan.
The retreat begins at 10am and concludes at 3pm. A regular, monthly meeting will begin at 3pm and conclude at 4pm.
