Tools for dealing with distress historic properties will be presented at this workshop which will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, 60 Congress Street, Springfield. Chris Skelly, the Director of Local Government Programs at the Massachusetts Historical Commission will provide a statewide overview of Minimum Maintenance Bylaws and Ordinances, Amber Villa from the Office of the Attorney General will speak about their Abandoned Housing Initiative, and Damian Cote the City of Holyoke Building Commissioner will discuss efforts to address blighted and vacant buildings in Holyoke.
