The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) is expanding its planning department!
We seek a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Senior Planner/Planner to work on innovative, rural issues and projects including housing, zoning, and land use projects. The FRCOG is a municipal service organization that includes an interdisciplinary regional planning agency serving 26 communities in Franklin County, the most rural county in Massachusetts. Our agency has been recognized as a groundbreaking, creative, and collaborative agency for its work on climate resiliency, alternative transportation, and livability.
The Senior Planner/Planner will work on a diverse range of regional and municipal projects to address local needs related to housing, zoning, resiliency, sustainable development practices and more. The Senior Planner/Planner has the opportunity to manage projects, write grants, conduct research and analysis, write plans and present project information to the general public, municipal officials and other stakeholders. A hybrid, 3-day in-office schedule is currently available.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Planning and 1 to 3 years of progressively responsible relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Hiring range for this position is $56,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, with excellent benefits.
