A Complete Street is one that provides safe and accessible options for all travel modes–walking, biking, transit and vehicles–for people of all ages and abilities.
The FRCOG staff has assisted the towns of Buckland, Colrain, Erving, Montague, Northfield, and Whately to compile Complete Streets Prioritization Plans as part of the Massachusetts Complete Streets Funding Program.
By completing a Complete Streets Prioritization Plan, Towns become eligible to apply for funding to construct the improvements that are identified in the Plan. Towns are eligible to apply for up to $400,000 per year for construction funding through the Massachusetts Complete Streets Funding Program.
Towns are also able to apply for funding for planning assistance to compile their Complete Streets Prioritization Plan.
Below are links to Story Maps that show the projects identified in the Buckland, Colrain, Erving, Montague, Northfield, and Whately plans.
