The Special Commission on Local and Regional Public Health was created by a legislative resolve signed by Governor Charles Baker in August 2016. The 25-member body’s charge was to “assess the effectiveness and efficiency of municipal and regional public health systems and to make recommendations regarding how to strengthen the delivery of public health services and preventive measures.” This is the final report of the Special Commission on Local and Regional Public Health,
approved by the Commission at its June 27, 2019, meeting.
