The overarching goal of the Advancing Racial Justice in Schools (ARJIS) project is to make policy, system and environmental changes that would improve school climate, racial justice, and racial equity for the public school districts in our region over the course of the 5-year timeframe. Initially begun prior to the onset of COVID-19, this report covers a 2021-2022 effort to reassess the strengths, challenges, and needs of school districts throughout the region in regards to advancing school climate and racial justice.
