Franklin County has a wealth of natural and cultural resources. This landscape has fostered the development of attractions and services that highlight the region’s rural and scenic amenities. As efforts grew to further leverage these assets for economic purposes while also protecting and preserving them, the FRCOG prepared a literature review and case study of the recreation/nature-based tourism industry sector and how another region promotes recreation and nature-based tourism in their region.
