At an event on October 14, 2016 in Brattleboro, the Tri-State Region partnering organizations released a white paper titled “When People and Money Leave (and the Plant Stays) – Lessons Learned from the Closure of the Vermont Yankee Power Station.” The creation of this white paper was led by the Windham Regional Commission with the other Tri-State Region partners, including FRCOG, Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation and Southwest Region Planning Commission, and other stakeholders. Funding support was provided by the federal Economic Development Administration and the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation.
